Our kitchen is helmed by a consultant chef HUI CHUN YUK with 28 years of experience working in Hong Kong, Singapore and London together with a team comprising 11 chefs and many assistants.
Royal London Duck is a Hong Kong-style restaurant by Fei Siong Group serving roast duck with crispy skin and juicy meat just like those in Four Seasons and Gold Mine restaurant in London’s Chinatown renowned to serve the world’s best roast duck. We have a menu comprising of a mix of authentic traditional Cantonese fare and our chef’s innovative creations for our patrons to enjoy in a cozy casual dining setting.
Our Roast Duck
We use a unique breed of duck reared in Suffolk and Norfolk in England for the iconic roast duck dish. This particular breed of duck is meaty and succulent and has more breast meat, less fat and is rich in flavor. The duck farm adopts a professional and systematic way of breeding the perfect duck for roasting, starting right from the incubation stage where conditions resembling the “natural” hatching of the duck eggs are simulated. The ducks are reared free-to-roam in light airy barns with plenty of natural light and fresh air.
Our chefs use a special marinade and sauce which they have created for roasting the duck. This special marinade and sauce has fresh fruits amongst its ingredients. They also adopt the traditional roasting style to create the iconic roast duck dish.
Our iconic roast duck with its fabulously crisp and glossy skin and moist tender flesh is the result of the wonderful combination of superb culinary skill and careful selection of the breed of duck.
Our Signature Dishes that will satisfy your palate
Royal London Duck offers a good selection of authentic traditional Cantonese fare like the all-time favorite roast duck, Hong Kong-style noodles with fresh shrimp wantons, char siew, silky smooth congee like the Shatin chicken porridge, amongst many others. There is also a good selection of dim sum like duck meat xiao long pau and delicious egg tarts that just simply melt in the mouth.
We also serve our chef’s own creations like Boston lobster with fine noodles, egg tarts with a special filling of fresh milk flavored with ginger juice as well as a special dessert called “Snow Lady” inspired by a Japanese dessert “Xue Mei Niang”. Snow Lady is a pastry consisting of a fine smooth and chewy snow skin wrapped round a delicious filling comprising cream and fresh fruits like mango. Our chefs have also created a special X.O. duck meat chili sauce that will make any plain noodles taste just simply delicious.
